SOFO Training Courses
SOFO is committed to helping WFU registered student organization leaders learn to effectively manage their financial resources. Some education is in-person and some is delivered in digital form. All scheduled in-person training sessions will be listed on The Link at the beginning of each semester. Please RSVP so we know you plan to attend.
In-person Officer Training (mandatory)
Required officer training is now an in-person session that will last approximately one hour. It is mandatory for all club presidents and treasurers at the beginning of each semester and must be completed before a club’s money can be spent. If a president or treasurer changes in the middle of the academic year, the new officer(s) must also take this training.
Understanding Club Funds
Several clubs have money available from different places. This digital course explains how SBAC, agency, and gift funds work – how they work, how they can be used, and how you need to manage them.

Travel Training
If your club travels, you need to understand how it works at Wake. Depending on the size and nature of your club’s activities, travel can be complicated. Start here by learning the A-B-C’s of travel and learn how your club should work with SOFO to get your club where it needs to go! Each video goes into details about club travel and offers useful tips for successful travel. The Basic course should be viewed first, as the Advanced course builds upon it.

How-to Videos
DIY is not an ideal approach to financial management. But sometimes you need a quick reminder to remember how to do something or get started. These videos DO NOT replace working with SOFO to properly manage your club, but they can help in a pinch.
